A Wonderful Afternoon at Café AMALA this Friday, with Michelle’s Wellbeing Warrior Talk!

We had the pleasure of welcoming Michelle to Café AMALA in Ingleby Barwick for an inspiring Wellbeing Warrior Talk during one of our chair yoga and exercise group sessions.
Blossom CIC offers Wellbeing Talks to local organisations in Stockton in the VCSE sector. VCSE stands for Voluntary, Community, and Social Enterprise.
Café AMALA, part of the warm welcomes space initiative, has been a haven of warmth, community, and connection throughout the colder autumn and winter months. Whether it’s a regular visit or a first-time drop-in, everyone is greeted with a steaming cup of tea, friendly faces, and plenty of good conversation—and this event was no exception!
The event was catered by Vicky of ChugLife catering, who made miniature scones and cupcakes. Served up by our volunteer Trish and with support from Deborah, our teacher and Aimee.

A blend of science, practical skills and sharing.
Michelle’s talk was the perfect addition to our morning. Known for her engaging and relatable style, she delved into the science of the mind. Michelle shared practical theories and insights on how we can all cultivate more positivity in our lives. Michelle made the concepts easy to understand, giving us plenty of actionable ideas to take home and try. Her words resonated deeply, leaving us feeling motivated and uplifted.
The session was opportunitan y to reflect, learn something new, and connect with others. It also tied in beautifully with our chair yoga and exercise practices. Reminding us of the important relationship between movement, mindfulness, and mental wellbeing.

It was heartwarming to see everyone catching up with friends and welcoming new faces to the group. Moments like these truly embody what Café AMALA is all about—a space to share, connect, and grow together.
Thank you!
We’re so grateful to Michelle for sharing her knowledge and enthusiasm with us. Also, to everyone who came along to make the event so special. If you’ve yet to visit Café AMALA, we’d love to welcome you! There’s always a warm drink, a kind word, and a cozy spot waiting for you.
Let’s keep taking steps toward positivity and wellbeing, one cup of tea at a time. 💛
